Found this button on my wife’s grandparents home place, it’s a small button the size that would be on maybe a shirt cuff or coat cuff. Her uncle work for the railroad all his working career as a train engineer we think it may have come from a shirt or coat he would have worn. Maybe someone would know more about this button would be glad to hear your thoughts.

That is actually a work clothes/overall button, of which there were many.
