PM'd the OP and asked him to upload a photo of the ring.

Hi, does anyone know anything at all about this ring? Thanks in advance

Its one heck of a ring for starters...

As far as 24k... only testing will deduce this.

Are there any markings on the inside of the rings band ? Ifso... what are they ?

Impossible to know without being able to put my hands on it or test metal/diamond. All anyone will be able to tell you "it's pretty, I hope it's real, and take it to an expert". Good luck!

Great looking ring! Look for markings and have the stone tested...Good Luck! :occasion14:

Yep, it needs to be tested for purity and whether the diamond is real.

thanks for pic - looks like a nice one - 24 is really soft - though it could be cause though soft - if made thick enough
it will stand up - normally you would not see a stone in 24k cause prongs would be too soft to hold the stone
but those prongs look heavy - take to a jeweler - they can tell you if stone is real - as for age - don't think it is much older than
100 yrs do to its design
was it found detecting?

Certainly is a cool looking ring and really an unusual design.

Doubt it's 24K, but very high karat though..:notworthy:

Hi guys thanks for your replies
it was tested for gold and the jeweller said it is up to 24 carat gold,
the stone is not a diamond but the jeweller suggested that it probably was before and got lost hence the diamond was replaced by the stone you see
there are no markings anywhere on the ring
it was found detecting in the sea in the Mediterranean 10 meters away from the beach

Great find, jonnyrock. Congratulations! Now, get out there for another or two, or three......

I think whoever told you that is full of baloney
