(1867-1911. Combined with Remington to form REM-UMC from 1911-1934. 1934 bought out by Dupont to from Remington Arms Co., as it still stands today)

Your's is sporting the "Petal Large" headstamp style variation...

Get'n to be quite a cache of data compiled here on Tnet. Sometimes it's the first information that comes up as info entered on a google search. This was the case when I went to find out anything on this old Nitro Club 12 gauge shell I picked up last night. If I was a crime scene investigator and I found an object that I wasn't sure of, but felt it could be a clue to the crime, I'd post it on this "what is it" to see what the metal detecting community can make of it.
