Went back to my beach of dreg sand. After a slow half hour I got a nice deep coin signal. When I saw the color I knew old silver. Was delighted to see 1787 on an old half reale. Mexico City mint mark. Love this beach and think only more is going to erode out of the spoils. This makes it my second Spanish silver of the year. HH thanks

That is beautiful ! nice one !

Very nice find! Congrats and keep after it.

So cool to find something that old in the sand, doesn't happen too much! Goes to show the beach is always changing from day to day, you just never know!

Thanks everyone. The sand on this beach was dredged from a harbor here and transplanted to help prevent erosion. Lots of little keeper coming out the woodwork.

Nice old silver!
