Old small buckle

Got this buckle today in the same area where I got a colonial flat button and back of a very old pocket watch before....was wondering if anyone on here could help date it or would know what kind of a buckle it may be....must be the day to find buckles and post on here lol....thanks in advance for any help or comments....HH

Thank you for the ID....makes perfect sense considering where I found it has a deep history of horses.
