Old swimming hole found.......

Doing a little bit of research, I found a photo of an old swimming hole from the 20's. In the photo it was shoulder to shoulder packed with people! So I set out to investigate. Found the owners information and now I'm just waiting on permission....I hope I get it!!!

reminds me of marine corps bootcamp on parris island. the Slide for Life was a rope you slide down over a fenced in pond. the pond was surrounded by a fence, to keep the alligators out. i didnt fall off the rope! lol

Well...got the letter back today

It seems the land owner is "indisposed" at the moment so the letter is from the owners daughter. Apparently she is aware of 2 retired officers that are the only people with permission to detect the site So it wasn't a straight "no"...it was a "don't worry, they got it covered"

If either one of you are out there...let me know if you need a hand!! lol

Oh well....back to the books....
I will still be posting the old pic once I get a chance
