Are there any maps or topos on line,I can get to look at old towns , schools ETC. Thanks

I got reprints of an 1854 and an 1876 county map from my local historical society. They are much better than topos because they show many old properties and businesses with the owner's name and show approximately where the buildings were in relation to the road. Check your local historical society and join up. Perhaps they have good maps for sale cheap as mine does. Years ago they even let me MD their headquarters which was a colonial house. They didn't even want anything I found there!!
