Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

Just a few finds before Five-O kicked us out. I thought that I lost the lime green opium because I stuck it in my boots when just prior to the late night eviction. I have no idea what themetal plate with eight children wrapped by a lei. It seems to be brass or copper plated with a silverish metal. Also found was a sterling silver spoon, cobalt and clear orientals, and a couple of crown sodas. Oh and the Tiger Whiskey was nice too. Mahalo HawaiianDigger, Ringman, and Clesson!

Awesome finds Col... Great finds been coming out of that old town. Here is a un-damaged oriental cup Da Sand Crab gave cause he knew my wife loves this stuff... Even if my hole didn't produce any goodies, thanks to all of you I have had a great time!

Mahalo. I like tea cups too. These came out from the same lot. I got a tea cup from the Da Sand Crab one night also. I forgot da Sand Crab changed his name. A couple of weeks ago McGarrett and Danno took down names so a bunch of us can't go back - until official approval comes through. The lower level bosses said can, but the big bosses say no can.

Ho cuz... I definately was on the wrong side... Nice ones...

Re: Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

That is more like an "Emerald Green" opium. Nicer and much darker than a lime green.

Re: Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

LOL! Now THAT'S a hole! Great finds! I'm sorry the po-po had to run you off.

Howzit ken,
That metal plate with the dancers is interesting.
Could you make out any words or names on it?
It looks Hawaiian.
Something worth researching for sure. :icon_thumleft:

Re: Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

WOW!!! :o

You guys really did good at that W***** dump :notworthy:

Looks like between you all you were well on your way to scoring a 12 pack of those pretty ladies :headbang:

I sure wish I could have flown out there while it was still OK to dig.......

It's great that you guys are all back out digging, MDing and posting your finds up on Treasurenet :hello2:

For awhile it was mostly just Earl and 808Beginnerdigger keeping the forum alive.

I sure miss Earl :'(

I heard that he got to hit the W***** dump the night before he passed - does anyone know if he scored any good bottles?

It'd be nice to know that he went to bed happy that night :icon_sunny:

Re: Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

Thanks everyone. It was definitely a bummer when Five-O came. The hole that I was sharing was lined with bottles and we weren't even close to the bottom of the layer. Anyways hopefully we can get back in.
Da Sand Crab: The plate is very interesting. The only thing that I could find was the number 214 on the front near the bottom right corner.

Re: Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

Very nice finds, I would love to find some of those bottles, I hope you can get back in there to finish it, don't these guys know it is part of Hawaiian history that they are ignoring and letting you guys dig it up and preserve it would be good for all of us and our future genarations. Aloha.

Re: Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

The puka looks cherry!!! The guys did some heavy excavation with the assistance of a certain machine. I was scouting the lot and saw one of the troops contemplating entrance. Hope you was able to get there and pull some goodies out. :tongue3:

Re: Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

Nice finds guys. That copper plate deserves some serious research.

Re: Old Town Finds Prior to "Da Blue Lights"

Mahalo (Thanks) everyone. I put the metal plate on the What is It? site. I got some awesome input there and it was suggested that the dancers are Putti. I never went back after the friendly eviction.
