Old Tracker 2D/707 detector

I picked up a old Tracker 2d/707 at a yardsale, after opening the battery covers I found them all corroded, batterys and clip/leads need replaceing. I don't know if this model is worth the effort to try and repair? Also is this a motion detector or does it work without movement like old detectors?
