Took the 800 out to hunt around an 1800 home site that has been productive in the past. Found part of a broken cast iron hoe and a watch plate of some sort. Looks like part of a pocket watch. Not the coolest find, but it tells me that I am hunting in the right area for relics.
Was hunting in Field1 at 4 kHz and 40 kHz as kind of an experiment. It is much quieter than hunting in multi, but I used multi freq stored in the user mode. I do this to really test the signal, because multi freq can show alloyed items such as bottle caps better. 5:00 p m and 94 degrees. I need a good bandana to keep the sweat out of my eyes.
