Old Wooden hull boat exposed in surf

My wife and I were walking on a very secluded stretch of beach in Costa Rica recently and we came across an old wooden hull boat remains.

Here is the beach when we started walking.

After walking a distance we came across the wooden hull.

The bottom planks look quite thick and the ribs are large in cross section. It must have been a large boat. The wood has been in the water for quite awhile, years likely.

It looks as if it were an old bridge maybe.
