Very interesting. I am familiar with vintage pipe tobaccos. While opening a tin of well aged tobacco is very special, the flavors will evaporate & go flat very quickly because all the essential oils have migrated out of the leaf. Depending on the varietal of tobacco leaf & how it was processed, pipe tobaccos hit their smoking prime about 10-20 years of age.
