Hi all, I have been lurking here this winter and having enjoyed everyones great finds decided that I should share my keepers from the weekend.

The highlight of the weekend and my oldest coin to date is the 1841 half dime, a first for me, this was found at an old spa area.

The silver dimes all came from an old school yard. We found eight silver dimes at that school and not one quarter, clad or silver. We also found lots of wheat pennies at the school, my oldest was 1919 but there were many from the 40s and 50s. I also found the watch fob (Samuel Rosenthal & Bros. The Adamant Suit) at the same school.

The badges, class ring, 5 cent token and a lot of the new pennies came from another school in the area.

BTW, the thimble, even a crushed one, was another first for me and I thought it was a cool find.

Thanks for looking and thanks for sharing all your great finds this winter while the ground was too frozen to dig around here.

HH. Rick

P.S. I hope the pix turn out ok.

Nice old stuff! The pics are good.

I have been hunting since Feb and hadn't done that good...well I found a lot of clad but nothing else to speak of. Glad the wx is getting better up there for you. Keep finding and good luck.

I'll bet staff sgt. Goodfortrade was praying to the Mother Mary for the return of his class ring. Even though it was just a token of his time in the military school, he'd bet all his chips and every penny he had, that someone with a MD could find it. Nice haul. Bongo

Nice finds & Welcome ;D,
