dug my 25th lc for the year the front is almost toast but can see 1851

2 curtain rod ends both broke in half


but the best was the 1896 dog tax tag from kingston ny

Great hunt. I had no idea the dog tags went back that far. Great coins and cool history.

YEAH! That dog tag is a SWEET find!!

$250 is top dollar! NICE!!

Someone must really REALLY want it for their collection to pay THAT much! Kinda rough shape from being dug . . . and the serial number is kinda high (#959) . . . . that means that there was at least 959 of these tags issued . . . but if someone is willing to pay that much then there must not be too many known to survive. All the others probably got tossed or buried with the dog! ha ha ha!!
