Oldest ships bell in the world!!

Hi everyone. I am totally new to this forum, I have been learning about metal detecting and have found a few modern coins in Florida as of late.

A good buddy from from overseas came over and shared this find with me. He has also allowed me to share this on the forum. I was shocked to see this piece and the documents that came with it. He salvaged this item himself back in 1994.
