I got up this morning not yet knowing where to go. I decided to go back to the park where I have been finding wheats, mercs and CW relics. This is a fairly large park and I have only been hunting the same small portion every time. Everytime I hunt there I keep going over same area I have been hunting in and keep finding more good targets. My oldest wheat that I have found there was a 1919. Well today I beat that. I got a penny signal only 2" deep and thinking it was clad I was suprised to see it was a wheat. After cleaning when I got home I was shocked to see it was 1912. It is not in the best of shape but still a keeper.

Good score. It's an old park. Judging from the lines on the wheat leaves that coin was lost shortly after it was minted.

I love finding wheatys, my oldest is 1919. That is a sweet 1912. great find.

You are getting that ear tuned for Fall relics Randy. WTG, Quindy.

That park keeps giving up the oldies, and way to hang in there to dig them.
