Locket with picture of soldier found on my honeymoon! New Pic of Union Buckle !

[55th Massachusetts]

OK, how many of you got to dig on your honeymoon? I am one luck relic hunter, in more ways than one!

I can't believe this picture survived being buried for almost a hundred years. But the picture is called a "celluloid", and that is why the soldier is still standing after decades in the ground...Enjoy!!

I also dug this Union Buckle on our honeymoon on the beach where we were staying!

Very cool locket and looks Span-Am Infantry NCO to me. Almost has a Rough Rider look to it.

Pretty amazing find. What else did you do on your honeymoon? Actual honeymoon stuff?

Now that is some find! Seal must have been pretty good to keep the photo so well. Maybe there's a name on the back of the photo. Hard thing is you may not want to separate it.
