oldie whites 6000 di pro sl vs silver umax shame on u tesoro

wow shame on you tesoro. i have always defended

my silver umax like a tiger. but today i did some comparison

testing against this old whites retro wonder that i recently

acquired. i am mostly park hunting. trying desperately

to score some more gold jewelry.

i have two small gold ring which i found w my etrac last year.

and even it barely got them. why not just use the etrac.

well truth is its tough to use in high trash areas with all the 4 tones

coming in at once. especially in areas where im pretty sure

there no old deepies.

i need something more stable to clean things up some.

and then the etrac. have been using the silver umax

in disc on the iron setting. figuring id be getting all the gold

if there was any plus junk from foil to screwcaps. WRONG

2 of the small rings found w etrac the tesoro just sniffs

a crackle at while THE OLD WHITES BANGS HARD ON

ALL THE GOLD I HAVE TO TEST WITH. i was blown away

at its sesativity and depth.i also like the old analog meter

that shows exactly where it comes in at. im trying

to do everything possible to score gold. and i never really

took the time to do comparisons. i just believed the old

saying if ur getting nickels then youll get gold rings too.

which is bull.from now on im doing gold comparison testing.

While the Di Pro is older , it was a top end machine at one time.
To campare to Silver U , the outcome does not sureprize me.
I have a CZ 70 as a back up and don't expect the Silver to run with that either.
I never read of the Silver U being designed gold specific.
You my want to compare to a Gold Bug or Golden U for a fair match.

Hi i bought a 6000/Di PRO SL Xb new in1992 up till then i used Compass, Bounty Hunter,Fisher.
I hunt with 3 other guys and we have many dectectors and many r newer fisher, minelabs, whites,Tek.
But i`v been using my 6000Di PRO for so long i can tell u its a silver dime just from the buzzing in the handle,as for depth i hunt quarters at 12" just like my F75.
The 6000 has 4 modes 1) all metal GEB NORM 1)GEB SAT all metal 1)GEB DISC motion 1)TR DISC non motion. Analog meter when it a silver coin and its deep10" plus the needle will move in just the silver range 60-100 Will not drop below 60...there r numbers on the meter 0-100 and iron/non iron/foil/tabs silver/gold ranges Depth range 1-9 thats right on and all US coin ranges from penny-dollar...It has AUTO GEB to track the ground. You can run it at all persets or fine tune it to be very senesative....Sample Ore....... just like my newer machines.Newer or just Different ???
This is a great machine but big bulky HEAVY A nitemare to try hipmount...but Still one of the best detectors out there and in the right hands it a capable machine .
Its hot but still my back up NNNNNooooooo my # 1 is not a newer detector its a Fisher CZ-6a....all 4 of use have them now there DEEP!!!!!!
Thanks G.A.P.metal
