✅ SOLVED Oldsmobile badge year?

Found today in a abandoned lot. Any idea on the year I know this is the original Oldsmobile logo

Semi modern plastic in a corroded chrome plated die cast ornament. Might be the kind that sticks up at the front of hood.

can't be earlier than late 1970s IMO

I don't put a lot of faith in E-bay but here is one I found that matches the script on yours. If the seller is correct it is a trim emblem from an 86-88 model.

Agreed, but for the sake of beating a dead horse I'd add that perhaps the most likely location of the badge was the trunk lock cover, as mentioned here: 77 80 84 Regency Ninety Eight 98 Trunk Lock Cover Emblem Ornament Oldsmobile | eBay
-just thinking mostly likely, based on the number of those I've seen missing

I found one in an old well that I was told was from an Oldsmobile 88, which came out in the 50's.
