Give it a shot..cant hurt..I use a Garrett GTAx 1000 in addition to my Whites MXT..but I found a gold nugget with my MXT, so........ but still the ACE 250 is good for everything else ..does very well on gold jewelry..may not take kindly to the mineralization..you may have to lower the sensitivity way down..then you loose depth.. good luck
