I have been purchasing large jewelry lots of late at the auction. In general I net 10+ times profit. Today I picked up a lot with this watch. I'm no watch expert by any stretch. Since I'm also traveling I don't have my tools to break open the reverse. Any suggestions on authenticating this watch?

Looks pretty good to me. Look for anything that says made in China. Pretty easy tip off that it's not authentic. Can you post picture of the back?

Unlikely that this model would have been faked to begin with. 1980's-1990's "entry level" ladies Omega, plated and probably quartz. Still worth up to a couple hundred if real, but only way to be sure is to pop it open.

Sorry, I need to post more pics. Maybe done time on Saturday, more likely Sunday bc I have a wedding to go to on Saturday.

Thx for the info. I'll be excited beyond belief if it goes for more than $100.

What kind of auctions are you going to? estate or local auction house?

Mostly auctions at "auction houses" which are generally smaller estates or stuff that ppl bring in for personal consignment. I can buy stuff for pennies on the dollar vs what I'd pay at a thrift store (if I shop wisely).

Most ppl are looking for gold - me, high end costume.

Today there is a house estate sale that I want to check out, but we have a wedding. Might go check it out this morning and leave an absentee if I see anything I REALLY want.

Honestly, these are becoming harder and harder to find here in PA.

Good watch and maybe just keep it for a rainy day. I think it would sell for maybe $85. to $100. and could go higher? I just sold maybe a month ago a lady's Omega for $180. to a buyer in China. It was an older small GF mechanical watch. I didn't think it was all that special. I gave $12.00 for it thinking I'd get at least $50. plus.
