Hi all

The weather service said northwest montana is going to get hit by some major rain thursday, friday and saterday. Possible 3 inches +. Yikes !!! And another storm behind that one. This will melt off the snow. Yes !!! That is if we don't get flooded out, ha ha ha. Kalispell area not so bad but libby is going to get hammered. 5 100% chances, thursday, thursday night, friday, friday night, and saturday and saturday night there will be rain. This will be heavy downpours from the sounds of it

hopefully no flooding for ya.maybe some good hunting after it mellows out tho !!..:occasion14:

Yup. Hopefully no flooding.
Ground should be diggable though.
Put a baggie on your XLT and dig.
GL
Peace ✌

DSCF0058.webpHere is a picture I just took outside of the snow we have. Hopefully the rain we get will melt off a lot of it. Yeah, now the weather service is saying we might get anywhere from 1- 4 inches of rain. cool, wet soggy mess. And this is just the first storm.

I sure could use 3 days of rain now .. We have about 2 Ft. of snow on the ground and it is snowing at this time.. I would really like to some rainy days..

Yeah some rain would be nice to melt down some of the white misery we got here.

Hope you don't get any flooding. It's a little tricky when you get rain on top of snow.

We had snow, snow and getting more snow! Running out if places to put the stuff! Detecting is on hold for a while....unless someone needs help finding their car! Lol! image.webp
Sorry pic loaded sideways....the e-challenged one strikes again!

what? already tired of the pretty white stuff? after the first day of snowballs, snowmen and pics of the the little kids, I am always ready for it to be gone! should really soften the ground for digging

This has been the best winter here in a decade, as for lack of snow.
Last year on this date, it was -14 with 9" of snow on ground. Today, was sunny and 48. Tonight, 2-4" of snow expected, but Friday will again be in the 40s, and it will be gone. Sunday 50 with rain. Looks like the ATP will make it's maiden voyage of 2015. ;)
Stay warm and GL to All.
Peace ✌

That picture reminds me of the winter of '96 in libby, mt when we had 43 inches of snow on the ground. It was a bloody blizzard.

February showers bring March flowers, or something like that. March is "mud season" in Montana according to my sister who has a ranch outside of Kalispell. Guess it's just a manth early this year...

No real heavy rain yet in Libby. But there is a lot of rain just west of us coming. They are still predicting 1 to 4 inches for us. Will find out tonight and saturday.
