DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!!!

I went back to an old house site near where I live this morning for a bit. The house was built in 1924. Last time I was there I found a couple of wheat pennies and a foreign coin 19787 franc coin. Well went back this morning for a bit with my Teknetics T2 detector. Found a couple more wheat pennies. Found a 1947 nickel and then I hit a good pulltab signal. Now I dont normally dig pull tabs even though I should. However this one was a very strong pulltab signal and strong signal. So I dug it up. OMG! I ABOUT PASSED OUT when I seen the gold shining. At first I thought it was a gold pendant but as I scraped the dirt away I realised its a 1914 COIN!!! LOL I am still in shock. And not just that it already has been made into a necklace. It is a france coin I think Has a rooster on the back. 20 francs. I am so escited. Never thought this would actually happen!!

Thanks guys for looking! VERY HAPPY to share this adventure with yall! Thanks for any comments! Think I might go tomorrow to see what its worth. Not sure If I will sell yet. =)

CONGRATS ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL GOLD COIN! :notworthy::occasion18: :headbang: Don't sell it quickly! The dealer's offer was low so that he could resell it higher for profit. If $230 is the current melt value of your gold, you can get around 95% of that value by selling it to one of the refinery companies on this website. Also, since 1914 will be the centennial for when your coin was created, you may get even more than $230 price by advertising it locally or on e-bay, craigslist or something similar -- just be sure it's a legitimate website before selling! My son has successfully sold gold rings for near melt value through one of the companies listed here on t-net, and if you sell that way by mail, be sure to insure your package for full value. WHAT A WONDERFUL COIN! Andi

Very nice find!

Way to go! Your description was so great I felt your excitement almost like being there! Thank you for sharing so well and wonderfully!

WOW...Outstanding man...

Congrats! That's $230 you didn't have on Friday! Dig em' all. Get some good digging practice that way! Awesome find! :icon_thumleft:

fantastic. what an awesome find. congrats!

Amazing find- the very elusive gold coin. Congrats- maybe I'll be lucky enough to find gold in the form of a coin someday. Keep it if you can- you will always treasure that find. If you must sell-try to do it when gold is a higher.

Congrats! Why sell it you might never find one again.

Very Nice! My grandfather was in the navy in WWI and brought back a 1918 10 centime coin that I now have. Wish he had brought one of these 20 franc golds back, but then again he probably spent it on a mademoiselle in Paris! :laughing9:

Man I am so pumped for you as I am just getting into digging. I can't wait to buy a metal detector and get diggin.
