On fire today...

Oh, wait... that was the side of the road on my drive home

So I got up at 4am today and made the 2 hour drive down to Santa Cruz to hit the beach there. First stop before leaving town was for some

Golden Gate Bridge before sunrise...

Unfortunately, that was the only gold I saw today.

I did have a "first" today though, and found a banged up cell phone. Also a handful of change, a San Francisco 49'ers key, and a bunch of bottle caps and junk. That was the haul for my 4 hours in the water.

I got hammered pretty bad by some waves that crept up on my and hit me head-high. I was moved several feet towards shore each time this happened, but didn't get knocked down. I also had a curious seal follow me around for awhile. He got up to about 5 feet away, which was a little spooky. He just stared at me, but he was HUGE, and I could just see my luck bringing in the only psycho seal to beat up on me. I wish I would have had my camera with me in the water to get a few shots of this critter.

Anyways, here was the bridge on my drive home...

shame you didnt stack up more goodies, but, there is always next time! and I would have really enjoyed seeing the seal. I have never seen one in the wild, we dont get them here in Virginia.
