On my way to my Eye Doctor Stopped at a Pawn Shop

On the way. Guy was in there trying to sell a Milwaukee Impact driver complete set plus a new like CAT 3000 Jump starter kit. I heard the counter guy said he would not pay what he was asking. So i said how much are you asking. The counter guy told me "It is not allowed to talk prices in here with other customers" My mistake now. He told the guy the batteries were completely dead. So the guy took his stuff and left. So did I . Outside I asked the guy how much he was asking and he said 100 dollars. The counter person had offered him $20.00. I asked him what he would take for them . He told me to make him an offer. So i said how about $60.00 cash. He said OK!! I have had to restart new dead batteries before so they would take charging and be like new ones again.
When i got them home i repaired the batteries and they now take and hold chargings

Hopefully you helped that fella out in a pinch and it does look like you got a good deal. I dealt years with this one mine contractor and somehow we got on the topic of power tools. They spent a fair amount of cash on electric tools, but he told me no other brand of power tools last as long as the Milwaukee brand. They're simply the best.

Can you explain how you "repaired" the batteries, I have a "new" battery that was never used for around 2 years and it will not take a charge?

Nice. I've ran into some CAT branded lights before with the same logo as Caterpillar. However, even though the logo was the same, it was from a company called California Auto Tech and they obviously stole Caterpillar's logo to make their stuff look like quality.

Hopefully, you got a genuine Caterpillar and not California Auto Tech . . .

Can you explain how you "repaired" the batteries, I have a "new" battery that was never used for around 2 years and it will not take a charge?

When the lithium batteries get too depleted, the battery won't accept a charge. Stick a copper penny in the positive and one in the negative slot of the depleted battery. Do the same with a charged battery, then connect + to + and - to -. Just let it sit connected for a minute or so, and the charge will start to equalize between the two batteries. The depleted battery will now accept a charge from the charger. There are a lot of videos on YouTube.

The pawn shop would be the one to make sure something isn't stolen. Get a receipt from them and you're in the clear.

Where did someone's skin color enter into this? I was just saying that it's a bit more reassuring to buy from a business than a private party. It adds a layer of protection from being accused of receiving stolen goods is all.
