I've seen some that were made that way.. At least fixed up after possibly breaking while sharpening in the haft

I felt lucky it was mostly there after it tumbled through the creek for so long. It was rite on the current side of the gravel bar under a cobble with a ear barely showing. You should post the instu photo for me GB to show everyone. I bumped it with my stick to be sure it was whole.
