extremely shiny in spots. May have been gold plated at one time.


And I think I confirmed the 1850's Part of the Field.
I the same general area I Found the 1853 Seated Quarter in 2012,

I pulled out what I thought was a can Tab.

Turned out to be an 1859 Fattie



I was So Surprised I had to Drop it and Re swing over it.

Sure Enough, Spot on Can tabs.
so I ended up Pulling extra Can Tabs today

The Fields in the area were Used to train troops for the Civil war & Militia.
am hoping I found a camp Site.

Found 1 Civil War era Button There a Few years ago.
But not the Same spot as the Oldest coins are Coming out.

Oldest Coin I found at the Indian head / seated quarter Site was a
1834 Mass Hard Times Token Lafayette H.M. & E.I. Richards
in Dec. 2012

But barely lasted 30 Minutes.
