I've been wanting to get into this site for a while now, but the property owner wouldn't allow it based on the crops he had in the field. Today I finally had the chance to circle back and saw that part of it was open.... so after double checking with him I went for it. Shortly after starting the one hour hunt I found the edge of the iron patch..... :) And a few keepers too. :hello2:

Too bad that a large percentage of the spot is off limits due to the crops... But there will always be something to look forward to, should the crop situation change.

I'll go back later in the week and try a different machine or two on it to see if I can squeak out a few more goodies.

George- I'll always take a large copper! :)

Wait until you see what I found today. :headbang:

Nice lc bud. My very first old coin was an 1820 lc.

Good hunt.
I expect as a dealer you don't have as much time as some would have.
If you were only on the "edge" when you go back in the fall after crops ....well we'll wait and see.

Rick,

I don't have nearly the time to hunt that I'd like, that's for sure. Its especially tough in the spring when I want to get to my Civil War camps that are a 3 hr drive from here. Sigh....

Sometimes you just have to take time to hunt - or just find spots close by like this one. Its about a 5 minute ride from the house. :)

Can't wait to see what the rest of that field will produce. Just have to be patient.

Heck FDB, I cant even get permission to dig in a flower pot much less a field, I have never been in a spot like this before .Oh well maybe I will hear from one of the owners where I used to detect . Nice finds, vanzutphen
