That's one hunt!!!! How many years was that village occupied?

There is nothing like a good rain on that field, and the rewards are bountiful. It appears that you were blessed with an awesome hunt, Congratulations!

Holly smokes. That's a heck of a find in one day.

thanks nc
i am sorry that i did not explain better
that group was found by john and me in 3 days.......each day we each hunted for about 1.5 hours each...........
....so it is actually about 4.5 hrs of hunting for each person.....about 9 man hours of HH'ing...........i think TWitko helped bestow this rain upon us

once again thank you

That was a heck of hunt buddy. Great looking finds for sure. I love that Drilled Tooth. Sweet piece!

Son for what you found in that amount of man hrs, that was a super great find:notworthy:

Good hunting! Third pic, that maybe part of a folsum?!!

Thats great you guys got out to do a hunt and a good hunt it was. Nothing more relaxing than looking for flint in the dirt, IMO

I'm speechless outstanding !!

I think you need to keep doing whatever you are doing. Great saves Steve and nice additions to your collection. Good to be out on the site. I am waiting it wont be long and we will hear the sand hill cranes going over headed your way. Tennessee is considering a hunting season on them. Not sure how I feel about it. Have you detected anymore?
Thanks for sharing your hunt.

Great finds as always my friend...........................Chris

I believe he is talking about the 5th pic down Steve. There is a piece right under that center top Scraper that does look fluted. What is that piece?

it is about 70-80 acres all total part is destroyed with some homes on it........
.......the site was moved around as the middens got full
we have found pelican lake.....duncan/hanna.....oxbow.....avon lea.....etc besides the many side notch arrow point so it must have been used for at least 5000 years
it is a perfect spot protected by water on 3 sides and a palisade on one side......the water was loaded with fish which was just another benefit for a permanent site with up to almost 100 huge earth lodges on it

Good hunting! Third pic, that maybe part of a folsum?!!

thanks i will look at it more closely
