With all the rain we've been getting, the woods are almost completely overgrown now. However, there is still a bike trail winding through the woods, which is worn down pretty smooth. So, I hunted along the bike path and a couple feet on either side of it. Besides a couple of buckles, a key and an old lipstick tube, I also found a nice Barber Dime, a Mercury dime, a Liberty Head or V-Nickel, a Jefferson Nickel and a Wheatie. The coins were all only 2 to 3 inches deep in the worn down trail.
Here's the nice 1901 Barber Dime:

This will be hard to see, but it is a 1900 V-Nickel:

A 1944 Wheatie and a 1940 Jefferson:

I might go there a least one more time this year and hunt some more along the bike path. Otherwise, I'll revisit the place again next winter. My count on silver coins from the spot now stands at 622.
