would help to know where you're located but my guess is it's a bare island point made of quartzite and age is around 3000 BC.
 
To me it looks to be a product of mother nature. A natural rock in somewhat the shape of an arrowhead. JMO :thumbsup: John
 
No you can see some chipping on it. It was found in bunkerhill pa. On a small hill where the material was used by indians
 
Nice point. I found a very similar one to yours in NW Missouri but could never get an absolute ID on it either. My friend at the college, an anthropology professor, said it's made from burlington chert and probably from the late arcaic period. He guessed mine to be about 3000 BC also. HH Charlie
