Hello all!

I headed back to the colonial home I dug the nice 1749 KG II at two weeks ago... With dreams of silver and early colonial goodies swimming in my head..

Well the day did not turn out to be filled with silver or early colonial goodies... I did nab one nice keeper! and I enjoyed the day swinging and digging...

WoW Those are some great finds! That bed part is upside down -- it would have been a rocking cradle of sorts. Very neat!

Hey Dave!

Don't we all wished copper survived this well.. The 1749 and this guy are definately the best looking 1700 and 1800 coppers I've recovered...

Thank you!

Re: One nice keeper today...

Your 1819 LC is a Newcome 1, "common". It is actually 1819/8. If you look VERY closely the 9 is punched over the 8. In the opening of the 9 you can see the bottom left oval of the 8. It is actually in very nice shape. Congrats.............Hogge :headbang:

Hogge - You are RIGHT !!! You and a few others here are flipping amazing !!

I had to take a few pictures to make that little connection come out and see the remains of the 8 underneath...

Happy to help. I love research and ID'ing coin varieties. Alot of people don't realize that just because they find a LC it's worth only what the "Red Book" guide says for that year. Little do they know.....they could have one of "x" amount of different varieties of that same year. Some of these varieties have only a few known, and can be worth BIG $.

Nice find! And nice eye hogge!

wow, that LC is a beauty! A big congrats on such a nice early coin and overdate :hello2: nice catch to hogge too
