one room school house find

Found this at an 1800s one room school house it is made of brass or copper it is an inch and a half long and the key shaped handle opens like a water or gas valve. Also top bowl shaped part has threads on the inside. Thanks in advance for the help.

That one looks to be in good shape and with the detail work on it should clean up nicely.

Welcome to Tnet. Gas valves are cool relics I've found one with pretty green patina.

There are other threads on gas valves. I'll look for one (can't search, non charter member).
