That's the only wheat penny that I found today. But I did manage to unearth a 1954 Rosie, a 1941 Mercury Dime, 1957 Rosie, 1937 Mercury Dime, 1965 20 Centavos, and some clad coins.

I was using my F75DST with the NEL Sharpshooter coil to work some grassy areas along some sidewalks early this morning. Two of the silver coins were found in a yard of a 1955 home. It was a little cold this morning, but once I got to moving around things warmed up a bit.

This was my 88th hunt for the year and my grand total for silver coins this year is 238.
I'll total all my gold and silver rings and other jewelry at the end of the year.

Very nice hunt. I love that car- let's see her cleaned up!

No vintage pull tabs- too bad, I guess the silver makes up for it.

Congrats.

Here I thought the streak ended. Congrats on 4 more silvers tabman. What kind of depth do you get on dimes with that coil? Is it better at target separation than the stock DD coil in your opinion?

Thanks! It gets better separation, it's easier to pinpoint with and it handles EMI better. Without too much EMI and in the right soil, 9 inches on a dime is about it. Most of my recoveries are in the 4 to 6 inch range depending on the soil type. Coins found around a tree in hard clay soil always seem to be shallow. Whereas coins found in open areas in loose loamy soil are usually always deep.

Thanks Everyone! I'm going to try to get another hunt in tomorrow before the rain sets in. The year is ending faster than I want it to.
