Hi All
Went out today for a couple of hours . My third target was this Quarter I could just get it had to pack the grass down to hear it must have been close to iron did not find any and I did a great job ricing it. ;D
after that I get a sweet singal but the roots are so thick I cant even pry at it so I leave and go home watch a movie but keep thinking of that sweet signal at one point I put the silver quarter next to the target and listen to both its a good one so after the movie I grab my relic shovel and head back it takes me 15 minutes to hack though the roots only to find a 65 quarter :tongue3: thx for looking HH

Yep, that is a ugly quarter, but it's silver.

Yep ugy bt we ill take silver any way they come....Matt

Looks like iron and silver had a fight :laughing7: Still, silver won but not after iron left it's mark

I see some gouges from the digger, but what is "ricing"?

Dictionary says, "ricing - to put (soft foods, as cooked potatoes) through a ricer."

Nice quarter anyway, the iron makes it more special in my book. At least it wasn't a nice SLQ or anything - a gouged worn Washington I could live with. :headbang:

There ain't nothing wrong with that quarter! Rusty and Ricked don't mean nothin' to us treasure hunters ~ we love 'em all the same!

That's funny about that 1965 quarter! Too bad it wasn't another silver quarter for you!

CONGRAT'S!!

8^)

My sentiments exactly. Silver is silver. Congrats.

Bob

If your Etrac is like my Explorer, sometimes those deep clad Quarters will really sing like silver until the dreaded "UGH!"comes after you dig it.Still you got one silver Quarter, nice!

That's just a battle scar Ron ;D It's all good. A coin with an iron stain on it always signifies a tough dig. :icon_thumleft:

40's almost big silver, and a rust stain to boot. Sounds like a keeper to me. Way to go, buddy.

Here's what I found today hunting an old logging camp...high tone, a bit clipped and "thumpy". Cursor moved into the black a couple of times, but I just had to dig it.
