I started CRHing on 11/1/11 with a purchase of $500 in boxed dimes and $50 in CWR halves. Netted me one 47 rosie.

Since then I have gone through near 1000 boxes of halves and thousands in CWR dimes and halves, as well as several bags of halves and dimes.

This activity took approximately 5 hours/week depending on the volume.

Fruit of my labor:

Dimes: 66
40% halves: 1273
90% halves: 313

Notable finds:

1934D San Diego commemorative
Two MS60 1944 halves, and one MS60 1943
Two Bill of Rights halves
Three 90% silver proofs (2001, 2004, 1996)
1906 one Rupee silver coin (India)

I commemorated this occasion by moving much of my stash to secure locations, split between a few SDBs.

HH everyone!

The SDB thing still puzzles me!! To me its like asking the thugs on the corner to watch my house while I'm on vacation. Why not a safe?

It appears that that some would rather run their mouths than explain why they believe in letting someone else hold their treasure rather than holding it themselves.

I wonder how many people can get into their SBDs on the east coast right now!

I understand your point completely, however it would be foolish for me to store ALL of my treasure in the same place, currently (including SDB ;) ). My grandfather always said to never keep all your eggs in one basket...he was old school depression era type.

HH everyone!

Don't make it sound tooooo easy, we don't need the competition wink wink . So what that like 20 box a week?

Nothing wrong with putting portions of your stash in different places but who's to say the gov't wouldn't confiscate gold/silver from SDB like they did with gold in the past? Or a financial collapse causes bank runs so bank holidays are declared and you can't get to your stash?

^.gov has no idea whats in my SDB ;)...

Again...its all about diversifying your assets.

Hey Namster, nice job! I'm at about a month away from my year and you have about double what I've been able to find, it has slowed down here the last few months for finds in the boxes, except for the few that were great boxes here recently. Still waiting to find an EPIC box like you did a couple of times. Anyway, nice job this year! HH, Maverick.

Spot @ 31.78
40% - $5,983.00
90% - $3,597.00
Dimes - $151.00

Total from one year of CRH - <Drum Roll Please> - $9,731.00 OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to love this hobby....:laughing7:

You couldn't make that much working a part time job and even then you wouldn't have half the fun you had for the year.

Some good numbers!

nice work buddy!

stick in em in a hole in the dirt underneath a few bear traps in your yard
