Found this little guy walking a creek in Baltimore county not to far from the city line. Gotta love those rain days off work. Have a feeling I couldve found a bit more but I couldnt move all those leaves by hand. Once the water goes up again ill head back down to look at the cleaned off gravel bars. This point is made from a material I havent seen at my northern sites. Im used to chert quartz and rhyolite. This is a beige whitish stone with what looks like little crystals or inclusions in it. Creek stained on the other side. Anybody know what kind of rock this is? Thanks

Thanks. Cell phone pic. Gotta take my camara with or get a better phone.

good point man ,looks like some sort of argillite or rhyolite

i know its not rhyolite got plenty of that but maybe argilite. Dont know that stone too well. Thanks

Kinda looks like the material americus allways finds

Wierd how you can go to a stream 20 miles from where you usually hunt and the material and style changes. The few points I have found in this stream have been more well made for the most part.
