Back to the playground woods again today. Slim pickens, but did manage to find Barber and Mercury dimes, along with 2 wheaties and a memorial penny.

Here's the 5 coins:

Close-ups of 1892-o Barber dime and 1918 Mercury dime:

Other stuff I found includes a rusty chain, a fancy buckle thingy, a partial Guardian Angel medal, a big button, an old marble, a lead thing shaped like a thimble, a shell casing, a broken bell, and some kind of change purse, I think (empty of course).

Nice finds. I'd take those over a fistful of clad any day. Good going.

Sweet find's Bob.....Any idea what was there before or are these related to the playground?Nice job!!!

Some great old stuff there Bob. Very nice.

Civ,
There was a hicking trail through there for a long time. Might have also been a bridle path and/or biking trail. Now it's almost totally overgrown. The playground area is fenced off. It's been hunted to death in the past and the ground is probably frozen now. I just stick to the overgrown wooded areas on the sides of the old trail.

Great! Looks like a Barber and Mercury face-off.

Nice silver Bob, Copngrats on a good hunt.

Doesn't look like slim pickings too me. Nice finds. Would rather come home with a couple good ones than a lot of so so ones.
