Only marked with 916

Pick this up today for six dollars took a chance it's marked 916 and there's no other marks on it I tested it and it tested as silver with the 18 karat gold test solution but don't know if I got deep enough if it might be plated any thoughts going to take it tomorrow to a person that has the precious metal gun

If so get a good rub off corner and test streak.

it sure "looks" like silver to me but i've never seen a 916 mark. Hopefully it is because that looks like a pretty big tray. Good luck.

91.6% silver is a Russian standard fyi, haven't come across any in person but I have seen items on ebay.

Ps.> Did you "get some meat" on the scratch/streak... when you did it ?
The reason I ask is because IF a heavy plate this would also test poss with a light streak/sctach.

Looks good to me. Just do a heavy grind and retest.

Just got back from we buy gold place it's silver he offered to 265 so one more thing to keep a eye out for

IMO, don't test silver on a stone. I always cut into the piece directly.
