Open areas along Swauk Creek?

I’ve read in a guide that the section of Swauk Creek along 97 from north of Liberty Road to Swauk Campground is pretty much “open”, as long as you watch out for private property. Curious if anyone who knows that area better can confirm (or help keep me out of trouble).

You need to know exactly where you are on Swauk Creek. There is open ground. At the Liberty Rd bridge is open. That area is worked often but still produces a fair amount of flake and small pickers.

Only way to successfully research areas open to mine is at the Courthouse in Ellensburg. Kittatas county has nothing online yet.
