Great view out your window. I'll never see anything like that out my window.

I was surprised to see that nice deer so so close to the house.
Sometimes people will ask to deer hunt in the yard and I have to decline
The deer love to pull the newly planted grass right out the ground roots included

Do you feed them? I put corn out for the ones around here.
One Winter many years ago I bought lots of corn when we had excessive snow.
It got to the point where I would fill up and shake a bucket full and within minutes there would be over 10 deer close by as they knew the sound
I no longer feed them and enjoy having them close by but they love to eat even the deer proof plants

Great pics Bill, share some more where the deer come back!

Before hurricane Michael came through in 2018 I had nine different bucks in my back yard and too many does to count. I even had a tailless doe. Since the storm I have only seen one deer and it was a couple hundred feet away. There was even a very young doe and buck that would come up to us so we could pet and hand feed them.

Great photo Bill
He was just keeping an eye out to see what was happening in the gardens. :laughing7:

Years ago on the Island the guy that owned the farm across the road and used it as his hunting camp.
Trophy hunter basically.
So they left to go back home in the early weekday.
10 minutes later I looked over, and there is this 6 point buck looking into his kitchen window.
I took a photo.
That Friday night they returned, and I told him that some guy was looking in the windows of the house after they left.

He grew in size (already an imposing 360) "Did you know who he was?"
Nope-But I took a photo of him Brian.
"Let me see!"
Well the tears were rolling down his cheeks:laughing7::laughing7:

Very nice .such a beautiful post.
Years ago my wife and I were driving home and a baby deer was just born and didn’t have the strength to cross the road.
I got out and picked up the baby deer and placed it on her lap.
We brought it home and gave it milk from a bottle.
A few days later on the news was a report of a person in trouble for having a deer so we returned it back to the woods.
I hope it survives

Amazing..It’s always a special moment to be able to get some nice pictures.
With such a variety of plants to eat they always seem to pick our favorites
Fencing in more and more as time goes on
