All Treasure Hunting
Hey y’all! Just checking in after my annual trip to Nantucket to visit the folks. We did very little hunting this year and thought we got skunked but... my wife pulled this out of her bag after we got home. On closer inspection it appears to be a broken celt or adze. I found a beauty just down the beach from this last year. It appears to be ground and beveled on the blade side. I’m really glad she kept it! I too think it has a beveled, bit end fashioned by man. I'd say it's an adze or chisel.

The Chumash built dugout canoes and plank boats nice wood working tool .

This is from Massachusetts and would be of Wampanoag origin I believe. Thanks for the feedback!

Doubtful on bevelling. Looks water worn with natural fracturing. Very common.
