there are no "scrapes or cuts" along the sides of this raised ridge, which resembles a levee having curved walls ascending to the plateau. reverse of coin is normal.

is it a die crack :dontknow:,
struck thru scrap coin metal on planchet :dontknow:,
or,
scrap adhered to die that was struck onto coin ???.

note the plateau caused metal spread on G, RUST.

sent more photos to MDia1, his initial opinion is sharp blade cut a "pressure ridge" on the coin--- BUT-- there are ---how you say ??? :happysmiley::tongue3: NO CUTS below the struck surface.

It's an awesome die crack, nice find!.....definitely has a premium but not sure how much.....it's a large enough break to know that the die used wasn't in service much longer after this coin was struck.....congrats!

HH all!

waiting on Mike Diamond to see if the new photos led him away from the theory of a "sharp knife cut"

ain'ts no bladerunner on this coin-- just a levee without the Chevy --

what say youze-- Enamel AND Huntsman ???

Other than being atypically straight that looks like a classic die crack. Obviously very close to failure. Nice find.

I agree with Mike. The angle of the light when taking pics is what gives it the appearance of a crack. It's not a crack, that sucker's been cut!

MD & Enamel are allowed to beat me like they owned me----- hit the coin at my LCS with a 60X loupe--- an' sho' 'nuff--- cut like a used up quarterback with a bad attitude & socks that don't match. top of the "T" was the nail in my dreams of untold riches & money. :BangHead::sad11::sad7::BangHead:

now I bein' knowin' how rick, marty and the team will feel at the end of the Joke Island travesty :laughing9:

BUT, I still have my '84 Double Ear & '99 WAM for the week :laughing7:
