Hi Folks,
I’m CarolinaCurt of Pittsboro, North Carolina and have admired the folks of this site for quite some time now. Although I am new to theTREASURENET web site, I have been involved in all types of treasure hunting and collecting for 44 years. My mom and dad; who are now 72 and 76, purchased my first metal detector in 1971 as a birthday gift and as fate would have it, the METAL DETECTING BUG Bit me with the thrill and excitement of never knowing what I will dig up next.
My Motto: You may not be the best, but if you stay focused on your Dream, the best can’t beat you!
My Best Finds to date:
A rusty nail and penny (1971my first finds)
My first musket ball
One half of an Alabama brass canteen (authenticated)
NC USA white metal Revolutionary War coat button with shank
A 1776 King George the 3rd Gold coin found in Rev. Camp, my metal
Detecting buddy found the first gold coin at this sit a 1775 King George the
3rd
