Ordered new water scoop today....

I went with the diamond Back scoop From Nuttall. Seem like a nice stout scoop and plenty positive reviews. My Big sand scoop is not getting the job done in the water .... Great for the wet and dry. Guzz1

Try this one-it is 9 1/2 inches wide and uses a wood handle that floats

Looks like a pretty stout scoop erikk .. keep us posted on how she does .. I'll do the same with mine ..... haven't tried mine maybe today for spell.... Guzz1

Hey Gary, Your making me spend money again.
I'm about ready to take the plunge and get a diamond head scoop.

As far as finds, I think there is a conspiracy going on. I think the moonbats are working the beaches at full moon and glooming all the goodies. Leaving none for the rest of us.

Hey Ralph I hear ya I went out this morning Ralph and I got was 45 cents in clad . The new scoop works really well with very little effort. Your pinpointing has to be pretty much right on though because the diamond back has a narrow mouth . With a little more practice it should be fine .. I missed a few targets TODAY because of crappy pinpointing ,,,My fault ,, not the scoop.... The scoop did not twist on me one time ,,, straight down into sand like butter.. I give the scoop a 10 for penetration . weight another 10 . design 10 . Overall great scoop I would recommend it for sure ,,, however bone up on the pinpointing and practice with it .... :thumbsup:

I have been using it for about a month and really like it, especially when using the LS PI going after the really deep ones
My only issue was with the foot pad but they re designed it and sent me the new one and that works great especially for us with big feet. Replacement handles are $12.00 at ACE Hardware should you ever break one but I don't think that is likely to happen. It will move some sand in a hurry :thumbsup:

What's pinpointing? Does it need to be a large pin? Why would a pin be needed for MDing?
