there is an operation in southern oregon called Oregon gold trip. they do 3 and 4 day mining trips. I was wondering if anybody has ever done this. Prices are a little steep but i think it might be a good way for me to take a first step into gold prospecting. If any body has any feed back i would love to hear it.
thanks
chris

Chris; Pick up a copy of "Guide To Gold Panning" by NL Bill Barlee. It is mostly a BC book but the basics are sound and easy to understand. It was that book that got me started into this madness!lol Fred

Try to locate the G.P.A.A. chapter in your area. They usually have a meeting once a month and an outing to one of their claims. Plus lots of friendly people who are more than happy to share their knowledge with you. And you don't even have to pay a cent to check them out. -Robert-
