Hey, Sherm...

Looks like a Japanese 10 yen coin. Not sure, being an Arkie, but I believe the date is 1991.

Boy, Have I dug a lot of those... it is Heisei year 2... =1990
The older ten yens like this have a milled edge..

Well, Sherm, at least I was in the ballpark! ;D Good thing we've got Dave here to set us straight on this stuff.

BTW, in case anyone's interested, here's a page showing the reverses of other date 10 yen coins. Notice there's no 1990 shown, and the 1991 was the closest match I could find:

I had asked my supply guy at work when I saw the post today and he told me year 2, but I was thanking he could be off by a year and my secretary was off today (Trust her more) and I doubled checked my book here at home. It is year 2 .. I wonder why they did not put that in that infor page?? Kind of crazy. See the marks that look like = That means 2 in Japanese.. 2nd year of the new emperor.
I was thinking maybe it was a rare date, but no, they made 754,953.000,,,sorry!
