I first posted this artifact on the North American Indian Artifact forum because it was found in an area where I have found archaic and woodland projectile points and tools. I don’t have a reference regarding a NA related copper or any disk shaped item of any kind on the east coast.

If anyone has any thoughts let me know.

My first thought was a saddle shield decoration. :icon_scratch:
Based on it's crude casting and design, I'm thinking late-18th or early 19thc.
