I couldn't get to Oronoco, Mn. on Friday because hwy.52 was closed do to flooding.
I made it there today and took a few pictures and this was as close as I could get to the area because of sheriffs and hwy. patrol on site.
A big hunk of the highway is missing in front of the bridge witch is 60 or more feet above the dam and I'm not sure if the water over the dam caused it or the heavy rain. The dam is west of the bridge and is full of branches and trees. What you see in front of the dam was once grass and I have detected that area before now looks like a basement. They thought the dam was going to break and evacuated some people down stream.
Some of the park was under water and the swing seats had mud on them and are now 3 ft. above ground. Most of the wood chips are gone. There was an old mill stone down there mounted on a pill of cement and rock and might be gone. It was found below the dame years ago and brought out and mounted near the dame.
