friends
met up with old friend Jim in Ma
and made new friends - surfnturf and Ralph
it was just a meet and greet - wish I could have got a pic of all the gold that was on the table
(was probably like 500 rings at least not counting other pieces of gold and that was just stuff from last few years)
we chatted and told stories for over 6 hrs

It's really pretty mind boggling when a few hunters display a few years of goodies like that and you consider, "that's just a couple of hunters covering a tiny fraction of beach". Now think how big that pile would be if everyone dumped their gold onto the same pile. It creates a real eye opener as to just how much gold is out there. Pretty incredible.

good time bro, looks like a lot of experience and knowlege in that picture, wish i coulda been there!!

Nice post and pic, Casper

Great Pic Casper!! One heck of a line up. I was Blessed to meet Jim a month ago, Great Guy and hunter, 3 best hours I have had in a long time. And Ralph n Rob I think I have talked to over the Phone, Amazing hunters.

Nothing better then enjoy stories of Treasure hunters, I was able to meet a few in Connecticut a few weeks ago on my yearly trip, Lorraine and her husband Hank, Frank (FSA), Craig (Cfcmt), Bruce (Captain Silver), Lew (Cupajo), PI Joe, Angel, CTBob and my Buddy BarryNY...Some real good people and I enjoyed ever second.

Glad y'all got together and shared your knowledge. Friends are the greatest treasure you can find.

A timely thread....just spoke to my best friend a bit ago and he'll be coming down in June to hit the beach. Can't wait! Don't care if I find a single penny!

What a great time I had being surrounded by over 100 years of metal detecting experience we sure had a lot to talk about good times and plenty of laughs!!!! So much info and advice I have a lot to think about for future endeavors! So glad we got to see each other before I leave for California looking forward to coming back and visiting and going out hunting!!

....only 2 reale I ever found was not on a beach - dont remember ever meeting a Tony anywhere???

Yep, it's a great way to meet people. I've made some new friends around the country.

Should you ever end up near St. Pete Beach in Fl, say hello, we will hit the surf down this way.

I thought I herd you were up my way and found one, must have been someone else, it was a big guy in a wetsuit so I thought it was you. I've always welcomed all hunters to my beach ask robby, ralph jim all are welcome and i don't know who would say that to you but it wasn't me.I told leighton to invite you after sandy, guess he didn't.

The second pic of you guy's is a great pic, the one with Casper in the back with his camra, hope all is well, Happy hunting.
